Branding a city-wideculture festivalwith Jani Toivola
Artist, influencer, and all-round icon, Jani Toivola, approached us in late 2024 with a challenge: create a unique and ownable brand for the 2025 iteration of his culture festival.
TOIVOLA is an event series that brings together bold art, open discussions, and new experiences. One that invites audiences across demographics to share, challenge, and dream. Together.
The rebranded Toivola Festival embraces the fluid, ever-evolving nature of arts and culture. Moving away from the rigid minimalism of Nordic cultural events, the new identity is vibrant, organic, and unmistakably Toivola. The refreshed logo reflects movement and transformation, with a bold green and dynamic orange striking a compelling visual contrast across print and digital.
A circular graphic element is used across the brand to represent a ray of hope: unifying our visuals across all touchpoints and even appearing as the building blocks of the Doto header font.
More than a festival, Toivola is a moment: a flash of creativity and togetherness during the darkest time of the year. This new visual identity ensures its message is clearer, louder, and more impactful than ever.
